It is the highest peak in Maharashtra with a height of 1646 meters. It is situated on the border of Ahmadnagar and Nashik districts.

There is a small temple of Goddess Kisubai on the summit.

Devkund Waterfall is situated near the village of Bhira, which is approximately 100 kms from Pune. Vasota Fort also known as Vyaghragad is an ancient hill fort situated in the deep forests and valleys of the Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary near Bamnoli in Satara district. This fort has a beautiful jungle trail covered in lush green trees with a bonus 1 hr boat ride to base and a camping night under the moon.
